As all of us know, most people love to make use of windows and would not want to modify to every other operating system. This doesn’t suggest they do not know how to use other operating systems, it is just windows is just too easy to make use of. In this a part of tutorial we are going to cover topics listed below:

Installing Oracle VM Virtual Box on Windows 10
First of all download Oracle VM Virtual Box from their official web site utilizing below link:
To download it for windows, click on Windows Host as shown in below snapshot:
Once you could have download virtual box, lets start the installation via double clicking on the downloaded package, below screen shall be shown:
Click on Next button as highlighted above to proceed to next screen:
You can customize the above installation as per your want however for time being lets keep as is state. Click on Next to proceed:
After selecting the required shortcut options as per you want, click on next to proceed:
Click Yes on above screen to proceed with installation:
Click on Install to install the chosen features of virtual box. Once the installation is complete you will note below screen:
Now we’ve completed the installation of Virtual Box on Windows 10 OS, lets open the Virtual box.
Installing Kali Linux 2020.2 on Oracle VM Virtual Box
Kali Linux is one of many most famous operating system for Hackers and it is a should have operating system since we’re setting up our own Hacking Lab because it has almost all hacking tools inbuilt on it. Installing the Kali Linux on Windows via VM Virtual Box will give us freedom of getting both OS on identical machine and could be accessed in Parallel. Without losing a lot of our time, lets learn how to install Kali Linux 2020.2a on Oracle VM Virtual Box.
First of download the Kali Linux 2020.2a version for VM Virtual Box from Offensive Security Portal by visiting below link:
Select the ‘KALI LINUX VIRTUALBOX IMAGES’ on page as shown and download any of 32 Bit or 64 Bit versions as per your want. We shall be utilizing 64 Bit Image.
It will take some time to download, as soon as downloaded. Open the Virtual Box and Click on Import as shown below:
On you click on Import, below screen will come, click on right folder ICON to import the Download Virtual Box Image as shown:
Select the OVA File and click on next as shown below:
Now you’ll be able to customize the installation as per your want, we recommend keeping things as is and if something shouldn’t be right we will change is later post installation:
As you click on import, term and conditions popup will appear on your screen, select agree as shown below to proceed:
As you click on Agree, the below popup of progress will come, let it complete, it should take an approx 2 minutes time.
This will complete basic installation on Kali Linux Image on your Virtual Box. Once completed, you will note something like below:
Click on Start to start the Kali Linux Virtual Machine we’ve just created.
Now whereas starting the machine, we will get error like below resulting from missing installations, we will just disable them and proceed with start for time being. For example, i acquired USB2.Zero error as show in below snapshots:
Click on Details as highlighted above to see more details of the error.
We can see USB 2.0 Controller not found error. You can see the rationale for the message and it is quick repair as well. So to repair this error either install ‘Oracle VM VirtualBOX Extension Pack’ or simply disable USB2.0 Support.
For time being let’s disable the USB 2.Zero as shown below:
Once USB Controller is disabled, lets start our Kali Linux Virtual Machine again as shown below:
Now Kali Linux Virtual machine will start as shown below:
Now you’ll be able to see KALI LINUX login screen, you’ll be able to login by giving default credentials:
Username : kali Password : kali
Once you enter the username and password, it is possible for you to to login in Kali Linux and below welcome screen is shown:
This completes the setting up of Kali Linux on Virtual Box in Windows 10 OS.
